Where are Brick House cigars manufactured?
Brick House cigars are made at the Puros de Estelí Nicaragua, S.A. (PENSA) Cigar Factory, located in the heart of Esteli, Nicaragua. PENSA was built in 2011 to be the base of Nicaraguan manufacturing for the JC Newman Cigar Company. Bobby and Eric Newman, the third generation of the family run cigar maker conceived of the factory with the aim of bringing all manufacturing of their Nicaraguan brands under one roof, and under full control and supervision of the family.
The factory has grown to now employ 840 cigar rollers who now produce 100,000 cigars each day, making PENSA the second largest cigar factory in Nicaragua. The presence of this and over 50 other factories in the city of Esteli make it one of the most important cigar manufacturing regions in the world.
At PENSA J.C. Newman rolls brands including Brick House, La Perla del Mar, Quorum, El Baton and numerous brands for other cigar companies, made under contract. Operations at PENSA are overseen by General Managers Omar Ortez and Lazaro Lopez. Experienced cigar men who have managed the facility and maintained a level of quality that is an example to the industry, from day one of the factory’s opening.
