No Cigars Included.  These empty boxes are virtually impossible to find now.  The Davidoff Year of the Rooster was a limited edition cigar crafted for the brand’s annual series in honor of the Chinese New Year. The Rooster was the 2016 release, with an extremely small-batch number produced, resulting in demand being massive around the world, and therefore commanding huge prices, for the cigars, but naturally also for these empty boxes.

The few we have have been intentionally left on our warehouse shelves, in a clean dry and secure environment, and just forgotten about. We’re now making them available for sale. Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the Year of the Rooster cigar boxes are beyond nice. They are jewelry box grade beautiful boxes with a high-gloss, perfect finish.  These boxes, with their unique curved shape measure approximately 14 1/2 x 9 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches.  The Davidoff Warranty seal is still on the boxes.  Of course, no longer intact as the cigars have been removed.  The seals have been very carefully sliced (not torn).  It is a unique box seal displaying a tobacco plant graphic, we’ve never see before.

The top and bottom sections are hinged with two gold colored uniquely designed metal hinges.  The top and bottom sections come together and are held snug with a pair of recessed magnets.  The box base is covered with a tan velvet so as to protect surfaces.  The base includes a removable cigar tray.  When removed the internal box depth is one inch.

We have kept these boxes with their original packaging.  A white box two part box with the Davidoff logo on the lid ad well as the Year of the Rooster logo.  Check out the pics!  We inspect every inch of these boxes for imperfections and list any in the listing here. In the case of the current box offered here, there are no defects, scratches or damage of any kind. The included package may show some signs of wear, meaning it has done it’s job – protecting this beautiful box inside.

This is not a humidor per se, but we have posted this in our humidor section as customers with the motivation and some skill have modified these boxes and added humidifiers to turn them into desktop humidors.

We fully understand – this is an expensive box. It’s worth it, and is priced according to it’s rarity and collectible value.

All our empty cigar boxes are real cigar boxes shipped from the manufacturer with cigars, have been opened, cigars removed, and shelved. They are as new, and in excellent condition, but may have minor imperfections from minor handling from manufacturer to our warehouse. As these were real cigar boxes, used to contain cigars, these boxes obviously do not have intact box seals. In the case of these particular boxes, all are in terrific condition.  International Customers Note:  Please order empty boxes as a separate order from any actual cigars.  If you wish to order cigars as well,  please do so as a separate order.  US Customers may order empty boxes and cigars together, no problem.
