The Bahia Gold cigar line was fully re-blended in 2003. The flagship cigar of Bahia, the Gold line is handmade with 3+ year aged tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Box-pressed and aged for at least 12 months. Bahia Gold robustos are rich, complex, with a full body of smoke, delivering a complex yet smooth smoke with earthy characteristics, at first spicy then sweet and creamy.

Picked up the Bahia sampler, and the Gold Robusto is the first one out of the bag. It's well made with a good draw. Initially a little spicy, mellowing after about 10 minutes into a smooth creamy enjoyable smoke. Medium-Full strength with coffee flavors and hints of chocolate. Lots of smoke! Will pick-up some more of these.

Really enjoyed this cigar. An easy smoke with lots of flavor. Very creamy and smooth with good construction.

Got mine via sampler like Gretz99. It's strength took me by surprise on lighting but after the initial few draws it became progressively smoother. This cigar is a bit stronger than what I am used to but it has a wonderfully robust spicy flavour and I am sure I'll enjoy more of these.
